QA QC Executive

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA and Tea Expert to ensure the quality of our products

and enhance the overall tea experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a

strong background in quality assurance processes, with a passion for tea and a deep

understanding of its nuances. This role is a vital part of our commitment to increasing

gender diversity within our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing for tea products, ensuring they meet

company standards.

Perform sensory analysis and tea brewing trials to assess flavour profiles, aroma, and

overall quality.

Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to provide feedback and

improve tea o erings.

Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in all production processes.

Train and mentor junior team members on best practices for quality testing and tea

expertise.

Assist in developing and maintaining quality control documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the tea industry or

related fields.

Deep knowledge and passion for tea, including various tea types, brewing methods, and

Manager / Senior Manager – Packaging Design

Function - Product Development – Packaging
Location - Mumbai (Head Office), with regular travel to Bhiwandi plant and vendor sites
Reports to CEO
Experience - 5+ years in structural packaging design, preferably food & beverage / FMCG
Qualification - Degree or diploma in Packaging Technology / Industrial Design; IFT certification mandatory
ROLE PURPOSE
Own structural packaging across primary, secondary and transit levels — from concept and 3D modelling through
prototyping, vendor development, line trials and commercial rollout — balancing shelf appeal, cost, compliance and
product protection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design structural packaging — cartons, rigid boxes, caddies, tins, pouches, laminates and shippers — for new
launches and existing portfolio rationalisation.
• Build 3D models, dielines and photorealistic renders; deliver white samples and working prototypes for internal, trade
and customer review.
• Identify, develop and qualify packaging vendors; negotiate tooling, dies and MOQs; maintain a second source for
critical components.
• Run line trials at the plant and resolve fitment, run-rate, sealing and damage issues on the floor.
• Conduct and document drop, compression, vibration and transit testing; sign off final specifications.
• Coordinate with graphic design on artwork-to-dieline integration and ensure statutory declarations under FSSAI and
Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules fit the layout.
• Drive material optimisation, downgauging and cost reduction; deliver measurable savings per unit without
compromising protection.
• Lead sustainability initiatives — recyclable and mono-material structures, EPR and Plastic Waste Management Rules
compliance.
• Maintain the packaging specification library, BOM inputs, artwork versions and change control.
MUST HAVE
• IFT certification (mandatory) and 8–10 years of hands-on structural design experience.
• Expert in ArtiosCAD / Esko, SolidWorks or Rhino, Adobe Illustrator, and KeyShot or equivalent rendering.
• Working command of corrugation, folding carton, flexible laminates, glass, metal and rigid board.
• Proven vendor development, costing and plant-trial track record.
GOOD TO HAVE
• E-commerce and D2C shipper design; familiarity with ISTA / Amazon FFP protocols.
• Exposure to life-cycle assessment or sustainable packaging certification.
Assistant Manager, Packaging Development & Procurement

brand and has to look and perform like a luxury product.
Role Overview
Company: TGL Co. (Panella Foods and Beverages Pvt Ltd.)
Reports to: Head of Operations
Location: Bhiwandi
Working days: 6 days a week
Type: Individual contributor, no direct reports
You will own packaging for TGL's premium tea and coffee range from start to finish. That means setting
specifications, choosing vendors, negotiating rates, buying material and checking it on arrival. You are
accountable for packaging that looks premium, protects the product, meets regulations, and arrives on
time at the right cost. You will work closely with the existing packaging team, Marketing, Design,
Production, QA and Finance.
Scope covers primary, secondary and tertiary packaging for tea and coffee products, including gift and
accessory packs. Sourcing the accessories themselves is not part of this role.
Key Responsibilities – Packaging Development
• Turn brand and marketing briefs into technical specifications: material structure, GSM and
thickness, laminate build-up, barrier requirements (OTR/WVTR), finishes and closures.
• Develop packaging for new launches and renovations, including tins, cartons, rigid boxes,
pouches, sachets, glass jars and bottles, labels and shippers.
• Choose packaging suited to tea and coffee, covering aroma and moisture barrier, one-way
degassing valves, nitrogen flushing and shelf-life requirements.
• Control artwork and print quality: die-lines, print proofs, colour standards, print orientation and
roll direction, and shade cards. Sign off first-article and pre-production approvals.
• Run packaging trials on in-house lines and at job-work vendors to validate machinability, sealing,
fill and transit performance.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI Labelling & Display Regulations, Legal Metrology (Packaged
Commodities) Rules, food-contact material requirements, and FSSC 22000 packaging and
supplier requirements.
• Maintain packaging specifications, BOMs, drawings and the change-control history.
Key Responsibilities – Packaging Procurement

• Run RFQs, build should-cost and cost-sheet comparisons, and negotiate rates, payment terms,
MOQs and lead times.
• Identify, audit, onboard and develop packaging vendors, including converters, printers, tin
makers and glass suppliers. Maintain the approved vendor list and an alternate source for every
critical item.
• Raise and track packaging material POs in the ERP, within the company's approval limits. Plan
replenishment against the production plan and stock levels.
• Prevent stock-outs, and reduce excess and obsolete stock, especially when artwork changes.
• Handle price escalations with data, such as raw-material indices and market benchmarks. Drive
cost reduction through value engineering without hurting the premium finish.
• Handle vendor quality issues: rejections, debit notes, root cause and corrective action, and
periodic vendor scorecards.
Key Performance Indicators
• Packaging material available on time against the production plan
• Cost savings achieved and price escalations avoided
• Artwork and print approvals right the first time
• Vendor rejection rate
• Packaging material inventory days and obsolete write-offs
• New-launch packaging delivered on schedule
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree or diploma in Packaging Technology (IIP preferred), Printing Technology or Engineering.
• 5–8 years in packaging roles at FMCG, food and beverage, or premium consumer brands.
• At least 2 years of direct procurement responsibility. That means owning rates, negotiations and
vendor selection, not only coordinating them.
Skills & Competencies
• Hands-on knowledge of paperboard, rigid boxes, tins, glass, flexible laminates and corrugation.
• Working knowledge of print processes (offset, rotogravure, flexo) and finishes (foiling,
embossing, spot UV).
• Working knowledge of FSSAI labelling, Legal Metrology and food safety system requirements.
• Strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and defend cost sheets.
• Strong Excel skills. Hands-on ERP experience is required, and Tally is preferred.
• An eye for detail and finish to the standard of a luxury brand.
• Experience in tea, coffee, gourmet or luxury packaging is a strong advantage.
